Synthesis of dehydroacetic acid derivatives with chromophoric chains and their complexes with zirconium phthalocyanine
  • Summary: Dyes based on derivatives of dehydroacetic acid were synthesized by its condensation with aldehydes. The synthesized compounds were used to prepare out-of-plane complexes with zirconium phthalocyanine. The composition, structure and spectral properties of the compounds were characterized by NMR and UV-Vis spectroscopy. An additional chromophore in the macrocyclic system is manifested by the broadening of the Soret band, its bathochromic shift and appearance of shoulder on the red side of the Soret band.

Synthesis of lithium-lanthanum zirconate nanoparticles Li7La3Zr2O12 by Pechini method
  • Summary: Li7La3Zr2O12 system has garnet-type structure and was synthesized by Pechini method. It is found that process of crystallizing of garnet-type structure Li7La3Zr2O12 passes many stages and accompanied by the formation of other phases. Availability of these phases lead for an increasing of grain size in the Li7La3Zr2O12 system at heat treatment. Size of grain is in the range of d ~ 10—20 nm. It is established that Li7La3Zr2O12 system crystallizes at heat treatment at 800 оC and has cubic modification.

Complex formation in Re—Se—Hal systems (Hal — Cl, Br)
  • Summary: The regularities of complex formation in the systems Re2O7—Sе2Cl2, Re2O7—S2Cl2—Sе2Cl2, Re2O7—Sе2Br2, Re2O7—Se—Sе2Br2 and Re2O7—S—Sе2Br22 have been studied in a temperature range of 100—200 oC in liquid selenohalide media with the formation of a number of molecular ionic rhenium complexes: ReSe4Cl6 (Z=4, Pccn, a =10.5800(4), b =10.9108(4), c=10.1497(5) Å), Re3Se7Cl7 (Z=4, Pbcm, a =11.811(4), b=14.185(6), c = =10.176(5) Å), Re3Se7Br7 (Z=4, P31c, a=9.4793(3), c = 23.7974(7) Å). The two last compounds are composed of [Re33-Se)(μ-Se2)3Hal6]+Hal ion pairs (Hal — Cl, Br); in the base of cation is a triangular nuclear cluster cycle [Re33-Se)] with Re–Re single bonds (~2.75 Å). The compound ReSe4Cl6 may be represented as Sе42+[ReCl6]2– with anion of octahedral structure and square cation. The presence of Re–Se, Re–Hal, Se–Se bonds in the investigated complexes has been shown by Raman spectroscopy.

Synthesis and study of cobalt (II) complexes of acetoacetic acid esters of primary, secondary and tertiary alcohols
  • Summary: Synthesis methods have been developed for coordination compounds of cobalt (II) with ethyl-, n-hexyl-, n-dodecyl-, cyclohexyl- and tert-butylacetoacetate as hydrates and ethanolsolvates, and a number of them have been obtained. The compounds have been investigated in solutions and in the solid state. A binuclear Co(II) complex with cyclohexylacetoacetate has been structurally characterized for the first time: crystal system — triclinic, space group — P-1; a=7.7818(5), b =12.4450(8), c=13.0075(9) Å ; α=88.390(5), β=77.827 (5), γ=80.751(4) deg.

Organo-inorganic composite core–shell structures based on ferromagnetic (La,Sr)MnO3 manganite nanoparticles
  • Summary: The features of creating of composite core/shell structures based on ferromagnetic La1–xSrx-MnO3 (x = 0.23) manganite nanoparticles synthesized by sol–gel method and organic reagents (polysorbate 80, L-prolin and polyethyleneglycol) have been investigated. It has been established by IR-spectroscopy and DTA that the maximal amount of organic coating on the nanoparticles surfaces is observed at the tenfold excess of organic compounds. The average sizes of uncoated and coated nanoparticles have been calculated according to electron microscopy results and they are in the range of 20—35 nm. It was found that manganite nanoparticles coated by polysorbate 80 (at 1:10 ratio) are weakly agglomerated. Specific loss power (SLP) values have been calculated for obtained nanoparticles, and they decreasewith the growing of the particle size.

New Nd, Er, Yb β-dicarbonyl complexes emitting in IR-region
  • Summary: Six Nd(III), Er(III) and Yb(III) coordination compounds with unsaturated β-dicarbonyl ligands and their adducts with phenanthroline were synthesized. Their composition and structure were determined, and it was shown that the Ln(III) ion coordinates 3 molecules of β-dicarbonyl ligands and coordination sphere of the central atom is supplemented with 1–3 water molecules, which adversely affects the luminescent characteristics of the monoligand compounds. Bands’ shift and splitting in the absorption and luminescence spectra verify the symmetry of the ligand field is not cubic. The calculated quantum yields confirm the potential ability of present compounds to be used as luminescent materials.

Sol–gel processing of AgNb0.5Ta0.5O3 based bulk ceramic and thin film materials
  • Summary: Nanoparticles, bulk ceramic materials and thin films based on AgNb0.5Ta0.5O3 solid solutions have been obtained by sol–gel method. The chemical transformations accompanying the sol-gel system formation have been investigated. Phase transformations occur the solid solutions AgNb1–хTaхO3 form have been studied. Temperature annealing conditions effects on thin films density have been investigated. Dielectric properties of AgNb0.5Ta0.5O3 based bulk ceramic materials have been examined.

Functionalization of the clatrochelates of Fe(II) and the modification of carboxyl group on the interaction with albumin
  • Summary: By the functioanalization of carboxy group of carboxyaryl- sulfiddisubstitued clathrochelates Fe (II) their derivatives containing amide or ester groups has been obtained. The methods of synthesis are described; the identity and purity of the obtained compounds has been proved by TLC. The interaction of the obtained compunds with bovin serum albumin was studied by the fluorescent spectroscopie. It has been found that clathrochelates containing ester or amide groups instead of carboxygroups have noticeably weaker impact (up to 15 times) on the fluorescent properties of bovine serum albumin.
