Synthesis of metal nanoparticles and nanoheterostructures of titanium from Ti(III) solvatocomplexes in organic solvents
  • Summary: It has been found by spectroscopic methods of investigation that solvatocomplexes Ti(ІІI) — [Ti(C2H2O)6]3+ and [Ti(C2H6O2)6]3+ of quasioctahedral configuration symmetry D4h. are formed in ethanol and ethylene glycol. Using a reductant, destruction of Ti(ІІI) solvatocomplexes has been carried out at 20 °C to obtain Ti metal nanoparticles (8—20 nm) and Ti nanoheterostructures with finely divided SiO2 and ZrO2 oxides of 20—40 nm size.

Functionalization of carbon fibre surface layer with Br- and N-containing functional groups
  • Summary: Carbon fibres Busofit were brominated and active precursors in which bromine is capable for further substitution by N-containing functional groups were obtained. It was found that bromination of carbon fibres by liquid bromine leads to the grafting up to 1 mmol/g of bromine onto the surface layer. Physicochemical properties of the samples obtained were investigated. The possibility of using the brominated precursors for the synthesis of materials with surface nitrogencontaining functional groups was shown.

The influence of the tripoli phase composition on the activity of palladium-copper catalysts for carbon monoxide oxidation
  • Summary: The phase composition of three natural tripoli (N—Tr) samples has been investigated by X-ray phase analysis. The presence of α-quartz, α-tridymite, α,β-cristobalite and calcite phases has been revealed. The content of each phase depends on a tripoli origin. The polyphase nature of these natural minerals is confirmed by IR spectral investigations. K2PdCl4—Cu(NO3)—KBr/N— Tr catalysts have been tested in the reaction of carbon monoxide oxidation with oxygen. Their activity depends on the ratio of the total content of α-quartz and calcite phases to the total content of α-tridymite, and α,β-cristobalite phases.

Phase equilibria in the Tl2Se—Tl9BiSe6—Tl4SnSe3 system
  • Summary: Phase equilibria in the Tl2Se—Tl9Bi- Se6—Tl4SnSe3 system were studied by differential thermal analysis, X-ray powder diffraction, and microstructure analyses. Phase diagram of the Tl9BiSe6— Tl4SnSe3 quasibinary section, projection of the liquidus surface, isothermal section at 600 K and the phase diagram of Tl2Se —Tl9BiSe6— Tl4SnSe3 quasiternary system were constructed. The coordinates of nonvariants points and solubility ranges of compounds were determined.

Kinetics and mechanism of the reaction of ozone with acetate Mn(II) in the system acetic acid—strong acid
  • Summary: Study of the process of oxidation acetate Mn(II) with ozone in acetic acid in the presence of strong acids. It is shown that the degree of oxidation acetate Mn(II) depends on the nature of the strong acid: in the presence of H2SO4 or HClO4 formed Mn(III), and when using Н3РО4 or СHal3COOH — Mn(IV). Installed the kinetic parameters of the reaction and the mechanism of oxidation.

The influence of ethanol on kinetics of tin (II) reduction from citrate electrolyte
  • Summary: For the process control of the Sn2+ complexes electroreduction the kinetics of tin reduction from a citrate electrolyte in presence an ethanol depending on ethanol concentration in solution (0.075—0.6 g.l-1) is studied by stationary voltammetry method. It is shown that in an electrolyte containing an ethanol, at pH 8 in a role of electroactive complex (EAC) is [SnCit] 2-, and the transfer of the second electron is the limiting stage of discharge, as well as in the case of electrolyte without of ethanol. It goes to show that the presence in the electrolyte of ethanol does not change nature of limiting stage and mechanism of reaction. Additive of ethanol to solution results in the increase of discharge of tin (ІІ) overvoltage, some decrease of a current efficiently, and also to the considerable improvement of quality of the deposited coating.

Stripping voltammetry of vinpocetine in the presence of silver (I) ions
  • Summary: Electrochemical properties of vinpocetine in the presence of Ag+ at carbon paste electrodes were studied. In this case oxidation was found to occur according to CEC-mechanism comprising complex formation with vinpocetine and its complex oxidizing at similar potentials. Preliminary simultaneous accumulation of vinpocetine and silver at the electrode was shown to lead to the signal growth as compared with vinpocetine signal in absence of silver. The detection limit of vinpocetine was 3.10-8 M with silver ion concentration being 1.2 . 10-4 M and the linear working range was 1.10-7—9.10-6 M.

New bioactive polyurethane, which contain folate-lactose in it’s structure: synthesis and properties
  • Summary: New bioactive hydrophilic polyurethane based on diisocyanate prepolymer and folate-lactose, in which folic acid was immobilized along azomethine bond, was obtained. The structure of folate-lactose was confirmed by 1H NMR-spectroscopy studies. By means of model reaction between folate-lactose and phenyl isocyanate the possibility of its chemical immobilization on polymeric carriers was investigated by IR-spectroscopy studies. Polymeric material with folate-lactose has better physical and mechanical properties than polyurethane, which was modified by D-lactose.

Copolymerization of monomethacrylate derivative of diglycidyl ether dioxydiphenylpropane with styrene
  • Summary: The copolymerization reaction with styrene monomethacrylate derivative of diglycidyl ether dioxydiphenylpropane has been studied at 333 K and different molar ratio of the initial monomers in toluene medium using azo-bis-iso-butyric acid as an initiator. The reaction rates have been determined and copolymerization constants have been calculated. The composition and microstructure of the synthesized copolymers were confirmed by chemical and IR-spectral methods.
