Thick zirconia films stabilized by oxides of yttrium, scandium, cerium and iron

Summary:
Thick films of stabilized dioxide zirconium,
stabilized by complex scandium-, yttrium-, cerium-,
iron dopants were synthesized by tape casting method.
Scandium–containing films are characterized by a sufficiently
high ionic conductivity, low electronic conductivity,
and can be used as solid electrolytes for low temperature
(600 °C) fuel cells.

The acid-basic properties of inorganic
compounds of zirconium and hafnium in solid-phase state and aqueous solutions

Summary:
Acid-basic properties of inorganic
compounds of zirconium and hafnium and their conformity
to position in Periodic system of elements are discussed.
On the basis of the offered parameter of basicity
the conclusion about greater basicities of zirconium
oxide and fluoride in comparison with similar compounds
of hafnium is made that is a consequence of lanthanide
compression among 4f-elements. This conclusion
is confirmed by the analysis of relative durability of complex
oxides of zirconium and hafnium in which ZrO2
and HfO2 play a role as basic (systems Zr(Hf)O2—MO2
(M – Ge,Ti)—P2O5), and acid (systemsMg(Ca)O—Ln2O3
—Zr(Hf)O2) oxides. It is noticed that distinctions of
acid (basic) properties of hydroxides of the specified metals
are expressed much more weakly, than at corresponding
oxides.

Features synthesis of complex tartratogermanates different structural types

Summary:
Optimal methods of synthesis homoand
heterometallic tartratogermanates different structural
types have been developed by varying initial reagents:
GeO2 and GeCl4, solvent, temperature, ratio of Ge: ligand
: second metal, reaction time. It was found that the
basis of their structure constitute dimer fragments [Ge2(μ-Tart)2] with octahedral or trigonal-bipyramidal polyhedron
completely deprotonated ligand, which depending
on the synthesis conditions can be combined in the polymer
chains and nets by bridging hydroxo- or oxogroups,
and also by bridge deprotonated ligand Tart4–.

The liquid microextraction preconcentration coupled with gas chromatographic determination of acetyl derivatives of parabens

Summary:
А simple and reliable method of microextraction
preconcentration from water solutions and
following gas chromatographic determination of acetylderivatives
of methyl-, ethyl-, propylparabens has been
developed. The enrichment factors and extraction recoveries
were obtained in the range of 260—270 and 96
—100 % respectively. Limit of detection for methylparaben
was 0.016, for ethylparaben was 0.015, for propylparaben
was 0.013mg/l. Reproducibility was acceptable
with relative standard deviation up to 7.8 %.

ESR study of fitness for creation of anthracite
oxygen sensor

Summary:
To study the effect of oxygen on the
character of the EPR spectra samples obtained from
Donetsk anthracite, heat-treated at different temperatures
(375, 875 °С) different reagents—water vapor, argon,
air and in vacuum have been synthesized. The effect of
oxygen on the sorbents and the dependence of EPR
spectra parameters of the oxygen concentration has been
investigated. The estimation of the suitability of anthracite
as an oxygen sensor has been done.

The chemical composition of blast furnace slags
|

Summary:
The mineralogical, elemental and oxide
composition of blast furnace slags of Ukrainian metallurgical
plants was determined. The peculiarities of
surface morphology of slag particles were studied. The
high slag hydraulicity by module system and by content
of minerals with high hydraulic activity was shown. The
criteria of practical utilization of technogenic materials
in binder’s materials production were substantiated. They
are: the absence of toxic elements, presence of minerals
with high hydraulic activity and substances’ amorphous
state, the necessary ratio of main elemental oxides. The
slags’ fractions were recommended to utilize in raw
mixture composition for Portland cement clinker production
instead of clayey component and in slag Portland
cement production.

Synthesis of the new unsaturated 1-phenyl-
3,5-dimethylpyrazole derivatives by cross-metathesis reactions

Summary:
A series of the new functionalized
unsaturated 1-phenyl-3,5-dimethylpyrazole derivatives via
cross-metathesis reactions between 4-allyl-1-phenyl-3,5-dimethylpyrazole and various functionalized olefins was
synthesized for the first time. These transformations were
carried out using ruthenium containing Grubbs-Hoveyda
catalyst. According to prognosis of biological activity
via Prediction of Activity Spectra for Substances
program cross-metathesis products obtained may be antiinflammatory,
insulysin inhibitor, 5-O-(4-coumaroyl)-
D-quinate 3’-monooxygenase inhibitor, CYP2J substrate,
HMGCS2 expression enhancer.

Chemical structure and effectiveness of
surfactants their in synthesis of polystyrene-polycyanurate polyHIPEs

Summary:
Chemical structure of a number of industrial
surface-active substances (surfactants, SA) used
as stabilizers of high internal phase emulsions (HIPEs)
for template synthesis of polyHIPEs, whose skeleton is
formed by polystyrene/polycyanurate (PS/PCN) interpenetrating
polymer networks (IPNs) has been simulated
on the base of the results of FTIR and 1H-NMR spectroscopy
measurements. In this paper the HIPEs of styrene
(S)/dimethacrylate of triethylene glycol (DMATEG)/
dicyanate ester of bisphenol E (DCBE) were stabilized
by the mixtures of SA1/SA2, where as SA1 Hypermer
2296 was chosen and as SA2 Hypermer V246SF,
Hypermer B246E, Hypermer A60, Hypermer 1083, Span
40, Span 60 and Span 80 were tested. Using SEM, DSC,
TGA techniques and the results of mechanical testing,
the best combination of properties, namely, a porous
structure, thermal and thermo-oxidative stability, thermal behavior and mechanical strength have been found
for P(S-DMATEG)/PCN polyHIPEs synthesized in the
presence of a pairs Hypermer 2296/Hypermer B246E and
Hypermer 2296/Hypermer A60.
